Certification:
Certificates will be given to those who fulfill all 200 hour requirements. Complete attendance for all sessions is mandatory. Yoga Alliance Certification RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) is through Greenpath Yoga Affiliation and membership with the Yoga Alliance as a (200 hours).

Requirement for Admission:
We ask that you have been practicing Yoga for at least one year.

CLAYTON HORTON, RYT

Clayton has been a student of yoga for over 20 years and began teaching in 1996. He is the director of Greenpath Yoga in San Francisco, CA. His practice is rooted in the Ashtanga tradition and Greenpath meditation. He is a student of Sri Pattabhi K. Jois and the Greensufi. Clayton is a founding board member of the Green Yoga Association and the Director of Teenpath Yoga for teens in San Francisco. He is a student of Sanskrit and on the Board of Directors at the Yoga Society of San Fransisco Brahmananda Ashram. He received formal Authorization to teach Ashtanga Yoga from Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his Grandson Sharat of the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute of Mysore, South India in 2003.


SWAMI KRIYANANDA
(Howard Klein, M.A.)

Swami Kriyananda has practiced and taught yoga and healing in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and North Amerrica for over thirty-five years. His small classes focus on student needs and include yoga breathing, physical exercise, relaxation techniques, and meditation.

A disciple of Swami Brahmananda Saraswati (Ramamurti S. Mishra, M.D.), the founder, guide, and inspiration for this Ashram, Swami Kriyananda was program director and yoga teacher trainer at the Yoga Societies of New York and San Francisco from 1971 to 1990 and director of the International School of Massage Therapy in San Francisco from 1984 to 1990. An active member of the Yoga Society of San Francisco Swami Kriyananda is the President of the board of directors, elected for the term beginning January 2007. Swami Kriyananda's yoga classes are influenced by his practice as a therapeutic touch healer and by his philosophy of meditation or centering. "Only when you are centered can healing and rejuvenation happen".




Kiranavali Devi

Kiranavali Devi began studying yoga in 1969. She met her guru Shri Brahmananda Saraswati and began studying Sanskrit with him in 1972. She taught hatha yoga and meditation in New York, Florida, and the West Indies before moving to Brahmananda Ashram in 1977. She started teaching Sanskrit in 1993. She holds a BA from New College in San Francisco, a law degree from the University of San Francisco, and continues her study of Sanskrit with Dr. Sharma.





HARI

Hariharananda Jorge Cal was drawn to the practice of yoga for health reasons. As a student of Yogiraj Swami Venkataraman S. Bua Ji, he learned the combined technique of conscious breathing and dynamic posture flow that characterizes his teaching style. In Swami Bua Ji’s very traditional style, he also discovered a vital method of realizing and abiding in one’s cosmic consciousness by means of guided visualizations during relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation. It is his greatest desire to share the experience of abiding in that unified field of consciousness and wholeness with his students.

As a result of his yoga practice, Hari has developed a deep and rich understanding of the holistic healing process. He practices as a certified massage therapist and Reiki master in San Francisco.





BRIKSHA

Briksha (Mahendra) combines Hindu Yogic practices and Buddhist wisdom in his teaching. He has learned spiritual nutrition and healthy eating life style under the guidance of Dr. Gabriel Cousens and Dr. David Jubb.He has been working as rawfood chef for 6 years and teaching rawfood classes for last 2 years He worked as a head chef in Tree of Life for a year.Beside catering rawfood,working as private chef and rawfood consultant currently he is working as chef in Cafe Gratitude(a rawfood restuarant) and rawfood consultant in Judahlicious( an organic juice bar) . He has been teaching Yoga, guided meditation, and stress management classes since 1992.Briksha is certified Breath-worker(consicous Breathing) too.



Greensufi

Greensufi, the Greensufi comes from an ancient esoteric school of learning. His teaching & training includes harmonizing the energy centers, balancing the male & female within, tuning the seeker's vibrations to the diurnal cycle of the planet & awakening the unknown areas of human psyche. He has taught both in the United States & Europe. www.yoga4health.org


Venus Elyse

Venus Elyse, L.Ac., M.S., CMT is a licensed acu- puncturist and massage therapist with a private practice in Marin County. Additionally, Venus is an anatomy instructor and teaches to students interested in holistic health and massage through- out the Bay Area. Venus is particularly interested in imparting knowledge of anatomy with a focus on self-inquiry and learning from the wisdom of your own body. She teaches using creative learning strategies and with compassion for the individual learning process.



Diana de Pineres

Diana found a passion for supporting women through labor and delivery when she began to work as a lay birth doula in 2005. Under the tutelage of Earth Lande & midwife Elizabeth Davis, she recieved formal training through the Natural Birth Institute of San Francisco. Diana understands birth giving as an instinct & a key life experience for a woman. She is committed to being a birth educator & doula for the empowerment of women.
Diana combines her experience as a Restorative & Vinyasa yoga teacher along with her knowledge of the pregnancy & birth process with her skills in supporting women through labor and delivery to teach yoga to pregnant women. A woman's connection to the Earth is heightened during pregnancy as it is with the asana practice. Hatha Yoga is a highly complimentary & recommended practice during pregnancy.
She received a BA in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University and was most impacted by her studies in Holistic Health, Creative Writing, Women’s Studies, Dance, and YOGA. Practicing yoga since 1996 she has been most influenced by her studies with Integral yoga, Iyengar yoga, Anusara & Jivamukti. Trained to teach by Sri Louise in the 2003 Exalt Your Yoga Teacher Training Program, Diana continues her life studies in yoga for Self-knowledge & leads classes throughout San Francisco with passion and love.




Anastacia Kaser

Anastacia Kaser has been studying, practicing, and teaching Ayurveda for the past ten years. She studied Ayurveda with Dr. Vasant Lad of The Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico, where she helped to run the Panchakarma Clinic for over five years. Immersing herself deeper into the Vedic Sampradaya, she is currently studying Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology) and Sanskrit with Hart De Fouw and The Vedic Vidya Institute of San Rafael, CA. Anastacia has been studying Yoga since the 80’s and teaches privately and at various Bay Area yoga studios, and has an Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Jyotisha consultancy. She also holds a B.S. in Biology and an M.A. in Education.






JEREMY

With his teachers' blessings, Jeremy Moran began teaching Jivamukti yoga in April 2003 after completing the certification course in New York. As a student and teacher of yoga he believes in building a consistent practice through discipline, self-study, and devotion that helps us connect with our true selves on a daily basis. Jeremy Moran has been a continuing student of Jivamukti yoga since 1999. His studies also include Sanskrit, playing the harmonium, and studying yogic scripture.




JOHN

John Marino began his study and practice of yoga in 1975 as a response to the crippling effects of rheumatoid arthritis and began teaching yoga in 1992. Because of his personal history, his classes are therapeutic and designed to encourage those who feel they are too “tight” or otherwise not suited to the practice of yoga. He guides students of all ages, levels of skill, and flexibility to approach the asanas to the extent of their personal ability without compromising the integrity of their bodies. His classes are fun, informative, and productive, and his style is gentle and witty.
